Kathryn Minard is a Certified Appraiser of Personal Property (CAPP) with a specialty in fine art and Canadian instructor in Appraisal Studies with the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). The CAPP designation is the highest professional designation conferred by the ISA. It is attained by successful completion of a comprehensive program emphasizing legal, ethical and theoretical aspects of appraising and entails the peer review of appraisal reports, approved professional development activities and a comprehensive board examination.
Kathryn Minard holds a Specialized Honours degree in Fine Art History from York University. An experienced expert witness, Kathryn has been a member of the International Society of Appraisers since 1996 and has served as a Special Advisor to the Canadian Cultural Property Export Review Board.
From 1981, as the owner of Contemporary Fine Art Services, Kathryn has provided advisory services to corporate and private collectors for the acquisition or dispersal of art collections and representation in purchase and sales transactions. From 2006 to 2011, Kathryn operated Curator Asset Management Inc. in partnership with Waddingtons Auctioneers & Appraisers providing appraisal and collection management services.
Sheila Osborne Jones
Sheila Osborne Jones is a graduate of the University of Toronto and has over twenty years experience in the fine art industry. She joined Contemporary Fine Art Services in 1988 and was part of the formation of Curator Asset Management in 2006. She has been an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers since 1997 and her credentials are in compliance with the 2014-2015 Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) of the Appraisal Foundation.
